November 07, 2018 - When asked about his inflammatory and anti-immigrant rhetoric around the migrant caravan ahead of Tuesday's election, President Donald Trump stood behind his characterization of the thousands of Central Americans as an "invasion." "I consider it an invasion. You and I have a difference of opinion," Trump said in a back-and-forth with CNN's Jim Acosta. Trump grew increasingly agitated when Acosta asked about the campaign ad, which connected the caravan without evidence to a Mexican immigrant convicted of killing U.S. police officers. Several television networks, including Fox News, stopped airing the aid after it was criticized as racist.
