Pentagon Nominee Says 'Unsustainable' Losses In U.S.-Trained Afghan Army

December 05, 2018 - The nominee to lead U.S. Central Command in charge of Afghanistan operations, has revealed to the Senate that Afghan army losses are "unsustainable". Lieutenant General Kenneth Mackenzie's admission comes even though the U.S. has been training its army for 17 years now.
